Arizona Sidewinders' 4th Annual Community Weekend is quickly approaching, promising an exciting and inclusive experience for fans, players, and newcomers alike. Taking place November 16-17, this event welcomes Sidewinder fans, aspiring players, and local community members to connect with Arizona’s professional women's ultimate team. The weekend is a blend of skill-building, competitive games, and community camaraderie, with events open to all skill levels and ages and the mission to grow the sport of ultimate in a supportive environment.

One of the weekend’s highlights is the new community pick-up game, welcoming people of all ages and skill levels to get active on the field. No experience is required, making it a great chance for anyone interested in ultimate frisbee to jump in and have some fun in a casual and friendly game!

The feature event of the weekend is the Desert Collegiate All-Star Showcase, spotlighting some of Arizona’s best college players from schools across the state -- Arizona State University, University of Arizona, Grand Canyon University, and Northern Arizona University. This showcase game will give audiences a glimpse of Arizona’s up-and-coming talent. For collegiate players, this is an incredible opportunity to play alongside and against the pros. It's also the last chance to see the 2024 Sidewinders team together on the field before tryouts for the 2025 roster! Get your tickets here.

Speaking of tryouts... Open Community Tryouts returns on Sunday, Nov. 17, bringing a competitive edge to the weekend! All female-matching players over the age of 18, whether new or experienced, can try out for the team and test their skills alongside current professional players. It’s a unique experience that encourages players of all levels to participate and push themselves. Participants can opt-out of trying out but still join for a full day of skill building and scrimmaging with Southwest's best! Registration required.

Whether you’re a devoted fan, an aspiring player, or simply curious about ultimate frisbee, this weekend promises something special for everyone. It’s a chance to experience the game up close, meet the Arizona Sidewinders, and enjoy a weekend of high-energy fun, skill-building, and unforgettable community spirit.
